The Spot & Dot Book Buses begin their summer schedule today!! You can find their schedule linked on the APS Dojo page. Two buses will run Monday-Thursday between 9:00 am and 12:25 pm throughout several spots in our community, including several daycare locations, the Carver Price Community Center, the Town Park, Wilt Family Farm, Jamerson Library and Iceland's. Be sure to stop by and borrow a book!
Summer School starts at APS on Monday!! Summer school is full day this year, Monday through Thursday from 8:00-4:00. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day for your student. Please send a water bottle labeled with your child's name everyday.

Jamerson Memorial Library, located at 157 Main Street, is hosting it's 2023 Summer Reading Program - "All Together Now". Stop by the library to get registered and start earning your reading prize tickets on June 5th! There are also family story and craft events plus a "1,000 Things Before Kindergarten" program for those young readers who have not started school yet. Go visit the library and start reading!
Be sure to wear sunscreen and drink lots of water this summer!
Several staff members at APS recently participated in the Appomattox Relay for Life event that was held in town. Teams walked in honor of those effected by cancer and to support and celebrate survivors and caregivers. APS staff and supporters walked in honor of many current and former ACPS employees near and dear to our hearts.

We still have yearbooks for sale at APS! They are $16 each. Please send exact cash or checks made out to APS and we will get a yearbook to your child's teacher.
If you have previously filled out a Bright Beginnings application online and have yet to turn in the required paperwork to the APS office, please remember that the deadline is Monday, 5/15/23. These documents can be turned in to the APS office between 9:00-2:00, Monday-Friday.

Help your child's class WIN an ICE CREAM PARTY while making money for our school! 🍦🎉 Each month our local Dairy Queen in Appomattox partners with APS and donates 10% of all sales. This month from 3:30-7:30pm TOMORROW Tuesday, January 10, 2022 the class with the most participation will win an ice cream party. Thank you for supporting both our school and community! The Penguin Patch will be open today at APS and students will be shopping during their normal gym time. Be sure you’ve filled out the form and send your kiddo with some money so they can go Christmas shopping this week. A huge thanks goes out to all of the volunteers who make this event possible! 💚🎁❤️
