Starting today, February 1st through the 9th ... the AMS PTO will be selling heart shaped suckers with a personalized candy gram in your homeroom. These will be $2.00 a sucker. These will be handed out to teachers February 14th during 4th period.
Softball tryouts will be February 20-22, from 4-6. Must have a current VHSL physical that is either on file or in the coaches hand before you will be allowed to tryout. NO EXCEPTION
Anyone interested in football - ACHS Weight Room will be open for students grades 6th - 8th from 3:30 - 5:00 Monday through Friday. Students interested can ride the Activity Bus to ACHS.
As a follow-up to an earlier post, AMS wishes to highlight the Varsity Tutors service to which our students will have access to help them with homework after school. Students can access the service through Classlink on each student's Chromebook.

Parents, permission forms for second semester remediation went home yesterday. If you would like your child to participate these need to be returned by Tuesday, January 9th.

Appomattox Middle School yearbooks are currently for sale both at school and online. Parents and students can order yearbooks for $25 now but the price will increase to $30 on January 1, 2024

WINTER DANCE
The Winter Dance is coming up this Friday as all of you know. How lucky to have another one so soon! Get your friends to turn in their permission slips by TOMORROW. More friends means more fun. It's going to be a fun time so get those forms turned in to your homeroom. Concessions are gonna be great. And ... you can get your picture made with your friends for only one dollar! So get those permission slips turned in so you can have fun fun fun!!

The cost for Appomattox Middle School Winter sports admission will be $7.00 per person. This increase is due to the higher rates for officials and other cost associated with putting on the games. Thank you for supporting AMS.

Were all selected as Sopranos to the mixed chorus. They will represent Appomattox Middle School with other selectees from across the district in a choral performance held in the Roanoke area in March. Congratulations! We are proud of your hard work!
The AMS PTO would like to invite parents, students, and the community to its Fall Dodgeball fundraiser. Staff and students will be competing against the First responders. Admission is $5 at 6pm November 21.
After School Remediation will be each Tuesday and Thursday until 4:45.
